Samsung Electronics has announced the ten winners of its World Creative Imaging Competition (WCIC) – launched to identify global creative talent and the creative names of the future within world-class art schools. The competition involved selecting students from some of world’s most famous and influential colleges, who were asked to convey their ‘creative moment’ through the use of the new Samsung NX10. The top ten winners, in order of fan base size, are as follows: 1. Ren Zi Wei, Tsingua University (China) 2. Shin Xiao Ran, Beijing Institute of Technology (China) 3. Charlotte Le Quellec, Ecole Estienne (France) 4. Choi Dae-Woong, Chung-Ang University (Korea) 5. Song Ying, Central Academy of Fine Arts (China) 6. Monot Marie, Ecole Estienne (France) 7. Samsung has introduced the world’s smallest laser printer, the size of a sneaker box. Measuring 341×224x184mm or mere a size of a shoe box, the ML-1660K/1661K/1665K offers one-touch printing at a speed of 16 pages per minute.

SSIT(Samsung Institute of Technology) turned out 55 graduates in 2010. Since its establishment, the institute produced 433 skilled graduates, becoming a hub of innovative technology programs.

Samsung unveils a two-door refrigerator Zipel Zucchi designed by Massimo Zucchi, one of the world's most influential designers, who designed luxury goods such as Rolex and Cartier. The premium refrigerator features LED lights on the surface of the two doors and built-in 10-inch touch screen. What is more, the new model boasts a strengthened energy efficiency with its "Smart Eco-system", which will be dropping the monthly electricity rate to 31.8 kwh.

Samsung has joined with 30 grade seven students from Mackenzie Elementary to conduct an Eco-Class highlighting the urgent fight against climate change. The class was held at Olympic Rendezvous @ Samsung (OR@S) located in David Lam Park.
